New mini box connection issue

I had an engineer out to install sky q this morning and he offered a mini box in bedroom and even with a booster it's not connecting, I was told to wait 4 hours before calling , tried to call but got cut off

Afraid you are not contacting Sky directly here as this is a customer forum.
If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.

Regarding your issue:-

Do you have the monthly Sky Q Multiscreen subscription on your account?

This is required for mini use.

You can check this in your Q box home menu

Scroll down to the bottom of the menu to My Sky where you can view your account.
