My contract cancelled?

I tried to connect a smart TV yesterday, I had a Sky message that my contract had ended!  I now have no.screen on TV, remote doesn't function and top box starts then sulks. I asked for help but as TV screen is black I am not getting very far.

When you say 'tried to connect a smart TV' - do you mean you got a new TV and connected your existing Q box to it via HDMI? Have you selected the appropriate HDMI port using the TV remote control?

Where did this message about your contract having ended appear? Did you cancel your Sky contract? If you did then Q boxes cease to function and must be returned to Sky.
