Hey all
The other month my Sky remote took a 40cm drop onto carpet? Which must've landed at such an intense angled that all the little plastic clip supports that hold its face/numeric pad on snapped!
it was a very disappointing experience, I generally assure myself that Sky research and test these devices to indentify this kind of weakness?' But I guess not.
The reason for this thread being:
Should Sky replace the remote? It's still in the first year of its life and I sincerely believe it should've survived such a small drop onto thick carpet! Suppose now I think about it the batteries weight played a big part in this?
Thx

If the remote was definitely faulty, then Sky would replace it free of charge by submitting this form (there is the possibility this is not available to customers in the ROI).

However as by your own admission it was accidentally dropped albeit onto a carpet my personal opinion is Sky would possibly charge you.
In the meantime it may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer / larger supermarket. If you do that as well you’ll always have a spare.
