Mini box remote not setting up

when press 1 and 3 remote flashes about 20 times why is this, so can't get sky working on this box

Hi @DJGA 

It will continue flashing because the infrared signal is not being received by the mini.

Either the mini is not on and working with green LED or the remote hasn't got direct line of sight to the Mini box infrared sensor
