Mini box losing connection

Mini sky q box keeps losing connection as well as other things around the house. Other devices can link back in but mini box seems to have an issue. It's driving me insane, I have not got the time to keep restarting, resetting and doing all the other tasks when I just want to watch the tv in another room. This time it isn't connecting after all usual fixes. We have a No Ip address obtained error code MR002 coming up on screen today. 
I've decided to bite the bullet and give notice to cancel my Sky broadband subscription as it's just not fit for purpose. Speeds when doing checks seem sufficient enough although when it is continuously dropping and over the Christmas period films that we were downloading via Aps kept pausing until connection was restored.
We live in an average sized house and have purchased a booster box, hopefully when I get my city fibre connection I can watch a movie with no interruptions.

As for the mini box do people think the lack of good internet connection is the problem?
