MR14

Water dripped through the ceiling onto the main Sky box now SkyQ won't work. I spent yesterday evening scanning the QR code and following instructions and I've tried again tonight.

 

I'm female, 77yrs old and nothing about computers or IT is intuitive to me

 

HELP PLEASE.

Presumably you've got someone sorting the water leak. You'll almost certainly need a new Sky Q box (and any recordings on your current box will be lost).

 

Contact Sky to arrange a replacement. 

If you do end up needing a new box it'll probably be via a 'doorstep box swap' whereby a courier company (usually DPD in the UK) deliver a new box and take your pre-disconnected faulty box away so remember to remove the viewing card from the old box before it disappears into the van. Also accept the power cable the courier brings in case it's a different fitting to the one you have. Perhaps get a family member, friend or trusted neighbour to help you.
