Loss of recordings.

I recently reduced my package taking out Sky Sports and HD. Since then I am unable to record programmes on channel 5 or watch a programme i had recorded on Discovery, despite the fact I still have Discovery on my package. Any advice please, thanks.

WHen you say record on Channel 5 do you mean record from the Live channel or just download ?

 

Channel 5 is a bit strange in that you can watch C5 in HD without the HD pack but you need the HD add on to watch downloads.

 

For discovery it may be similar that you are trying to watch a HD version without now having the HD

add on.

 

So as the default download quality is set to HD (high Definition) not SD then when you try to download and watch you may be  prompted to upgrade (i.e. take out the HD subscription)

You, probably, just need to change your download preference to SD
Main Menu -> Settings -> Setup -> Preferences

(Please note this setting can only be set on the Main box)
