Joining Sky
Hello all, looking to join Sky getting a Q box with broadband moving from another major provider (Red logo)
Just a few things,
1) How does the Netflix add on work if I'm already paying for it (Just the basic one but would like the UHD package)
2) If I get the UHD add on does that automatically contain the HD channels or do you have to purchase both
3) Is UHD worth it for the extra £4 per month we watch alot of sky programmes like Swat, Chicago Fire & Fbi? When watching in UHD does it also output Dolby Atmos?
I've got a Samsung TV which supports HDR10 plus & HLG also Stadard HDR and my soundbar can output Dolby Atmos & DTS:X
Thanks Richard

Re: Joining Sky
Hi @MrAston
The answer to question one makes the others irrelevant. To get Netflix Premium (UHD) you need the UHD package (which includes HD).

Assuming that you are migrating your Netflix to Sky
Assuming you subscribe through Sky
Sky Ultimate TV includes the Netflix Basic plan (1 screen + HD)
You can upgrade to Netflix Standard (2 screens + HD) by adding the HD pack On Sky Q.
You can upgrade to Netflix Premium (4 screens + UHD/HDR) by adding the Ultra HD pack (requires the HD pack first) on Sky Q.
2) If I get the UHD add on does that automatically contain the HD channels or do you have to purchase both
You cannot get UHD pack without HD. Pack at £12 is UHD & HD
3) Is UHD worth it for the extra £4 per month we watch alot of sky programmes like Swat, Chicago Fire & Fbi?
There are quite a few Entertainment channels in UHD (on demand and not live channels). A lot of Sport is in UHD if you have the Sports pack. Likewise Cinema.
When watching in UHD does it also output Dolby Atmos?
Dolby Atmos is only available with some UHD content but is not always available
I've got a Samsung TV which supports HDR10 plus & HLG also Stadard HDR and my soundbar can output Dolby Atmos & DTS:X
Thanks Richard
