Interference from second Sky Q box

When I switch on my Samsung tv and the sky q box, in the left hand corner of the tv it has ATV and the channels are counting up of their own accord. I cannot do anything to get rid of the ATV.

Hi @Amanda220869

Looks like your Samsung TV is not switched to the correct HDMI input for your Q box.

If your Sky Q remote is correctly paired to your TV you can use your Q remote to cycle through the Television inputs by pressing the input select button on the Q rrmote.

Failing this you will need to use your Samsung TV temote to select the correct HDMI input.

Re: Interference from second Sky Q box

ATV sounds like maybe the TV is stuck in some kind of analogue mode? (Depending on the age/model of the TV it may have both DTV and ATV options.) My suggestion would be to first try disconnecting the sky box, power off the TV for 5 minutes and then switch back on to see if the TV is working normally then reconnect the sky box. (In pc parlance a "soft" reset)

If that doesn't work I'd then look to reset the the TV to factory settings (have a look in the TV's settings menus - for my Samsung reset is in the General section. If it asks for a code try 0000.) Then set up as a new TV.

Modern TVs are basically simple computers so can suffer in the same way on occasions.

What does "channels are counting up of their own accord" mean?
