Insert chip card issue

My Sky Q box would not turn on, I have turned the power off and back on again and the problem quickly resolved.   

However since then when on the home screen I just get the message " please insert your viewing card with the chip facing up".  

Due to this I can not acceany apps or streaming services. 

 

Can anyone help?

Hi @Ant1072 Try turning your SKYQ box off at the mains socket, then remove your viewing card, and carefully wipe the chip with a slightly damp cloth, replace the card making sure that you hear or feel a click when the locks into place.

Restart the Q box?
