I'ved bricked my sky Q remote

For some reason a couple of days ago my sky Q remote stopped changing volume on my sonos playbar..

 

I skimmed some posts and in a desperate attempt to fix it I held down 4 & 6 together, but now the remote is doing absolutelynothing....and no matter what I try, just wont connect to or control the Sky Q box....

 

Is there anything else I can try? Any help would be massively appreciated!

Hi @nr5   4 & 6 simply turns off Bluetooth.  You need to re-pair it to your TV and Sky Q box by holding down 1 & 3 (direct line of sight to the Sky Q box).

I've tried 1 & 3 a lot but no joy unfortunately. I'm wondering if the IR is broken which would explain volume not controlling the sonos bar? Now if I've turned bluetooth off it has now way to connect I guess?

 

Is there a way to turn bluetooth back on?

hi @nr5 

 

Reset the remote by pressing & holding 7 & 9 together until the red led above the SKY logo button flashes 4 times

 

It will still be in IR mode after the reset, so at this point it must have line of sight of the SKY box

 

Then press the 1 & 3 together to start the re-pair

This doesn't work unfortunately! Would that mean the IR is probably broken?

I would be surprised if the IR has ceased to work suddenly on the remote but I guess it is possible.

 

I would try dowing a power down restart of your SKY Q box (remove power by switch off at mains or unplugging & waiting >30s before re-applying power) & then try re-pairing
