I'm looking for a particular package.

[Removed] My contract is up and all I want to do is use the Sky Q box forthings like Youtube, BBC I player etc.  [Removed]

I did read somewhere that you can use the box and pay a minimum amount? is this true?

Q Essentials - retails at £15pm.

This allows the box to be kept for free-to-air channels and apps.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

If all you want is access to apps like YouTube and iPlayer to stream content then it is absolutely pointless paying Sky for a Sky Q box.

Most smart TVs will have these apps built in already and do not charge for their use. Alternatively you can purchase a dedicated streaming device such as a Firestick, Roku, GoogleTV or Apple TV box, some for as little as £20. You can then choose which apps you want to download and use. On a Sky Q box you are limited to the apps Sky choose.

Although you can get multiroom (for an additional cost) and the Q's recording capability.
