I can't, apparently, book an engineer

Trying to book an engineer but when going througb the online booking process it states that I don't have a package,so I can't book an engineer!

I am unable to phone to make an appointment at the moment i want to get a booking made online before the end of today!

Are you signed in with the correct details so can you view your bill without any issues. If you are then you will have to call instead.

Whats the issue with your Sky Q that requires an engineer?

For about 3 months all terrestrial channels, particularly BBC have been, at times pixilating or unavailable. Since the complete Sky blackout a few months ago we have just accepted that we can't really get these channels. We've followed all advice and precesdures to rectify. At the most we get a few minutes of improvement, before reverting to pixelation again.  I work hard on a low wage and can't afford to be paying as much as I do for a service that isn't being provided. I am signed in when I try to book an engineer online.

I called to book an engineer at was told it was at least a 3 week wait. That is very poor and especially when I look across these boards and see the amount of connection issues over the past month or so.

The amount of issues may be a factor why it's a 3 week wait...

 

Once it's fixed you can ask Sky to consider a credit for any impacted period.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

A number of Sky satellite engineers were made redundant last year (some may say too prematurely) so that may impact wait times in some areas.

Because my mobile phone is playing up,and I  dont have a house phone anymore..

If I were to use the phone at work,I  would have only moments to converse due to my restricted break times.

As you cannot call and it seems having an  issue with the online engineer booking, think it's best for you to chat with the Sky Community messaging team.


I've escalated this to Sky and they should be in touch with you soon about it.
Look out for a message from Sky on your email and Sky Community private messages.
Look out for the blue chat bubble within your Sky community.

You need to engage in the chat invite that was sent to you at 0947 today.

You should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.
