How to Optimize Sky Q Recording Settings for Managing Multiple Shows?
Hi Sky Community,
I’m new to Sky Q and trying to record multiple shows (~3-4 per week) but keep running into conflicts or missed recordings.
Setup: Sky Q 1TB box, standard subscription, connected to Wi-Fi.
Steps Tried:
- Set recordings for a few series; got “recording clash” errors.
- Checked storage in settings; plenty of space left.
- Tried Series Link; some episodes still miss.
Questions:
- How do you manage recording multiple shows without clashes on Sky Q?
- Any tips for setting up Series Link to avoid missing episodes?
- What settings should I check to improve recording reliability?
Thanks for your advice!

Hi @davidjames83 It all depends on your hardware version Home -> Settings -> System info -> Hardware version. It should be 32C or 32B.

Current boxes should be able to do 6 simultaneously. It's a setting on the box.

As @MightyQuinn says it depends which 1TB box you have - if 32Cxxx (non UHD) then you are limited to 3 if 32B2xx then you should be able to set 5 (with an option for 6 disabling the min preview)
(I am not sure if the non UHD box has any option)
