Hard Disk Drive Error

We cannot record or series link tv programmes, we are getting Hard Disk Drive Error. I haven't tried to reset it yet because it is saying we lose all our existing recordings! Why has this happened, the box hasn't moved and it is all connected!

If you have tried a power restart of the Sky Q box, leaving off power for a few minutes, the only other option with that message is to do a hard drive reset as described here;

Hard drives do not last forever - failures are not uncommon.  They just sometimes fail without any external trigger.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
