HDMI message switching off

When trying to switch my Philips TV OFF with SKY remote I get a blue HDMI message & have to use my TV remote to fully switch off.  How can I fully switch TV off with just the Sky remote?

If the remote is correctly coded then holding the power button for about 3 seconds will send a power off signal to the TV.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
