Faulty mini box

Hello, I have a Sky Q box and two mini boxes. The first came with the original Sky Q box and is connected to a TV in the kitchen. The the second I ordered later and is connected to a projector. The first mini box has never given any problems and the second worked well until yesterday. As it is used less regularly than the original mini box and to save it overheating, I disconnect the power cable after use. That hasn't caused any issues when reconnecting, until now. After reconnecting yesterday the red light came on as usual but on;y for a couple of seconds and then went off. Normally it stays on for 20 seconds or so, goes off temporarily and then the green light comes on and the power button on the remote does the rest. Now nothing happens. I checked the remote batteries and even put new ones in but that didn't solve the problem. Next I pressed the reset button on the back of the box. The red light came on and stayed on permanently. The box still wouldn't respond to the remote. Finally, I checked the settings section in the menu on the Sky Q box but all the boxes were ticked so I'm assuming that's not the issue. Can you solve the problem? If not, can you send me a replacement box, please this issue is affecting my viewing Sky viewing experience.  Many thanks. Willie Macleod (Sky VIP member 22 years).

Hi @191114

Afraid you are not contacting Sky directly here as this is a customer forum.
If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.

Thanks. I realised that after sending the post. I did persevere and got them to send me a replacement box.
