Downgrade to SKY Essentials
I want to downgrade to SKY Essentials, but my lord Sky makes this hard.
They want me to move to Sky Broadband which I won't do. I am happy with my current ISP.
I want to get rid of the Sports channels etc as my monthly bill from next month increases to over £100 (best deal they can do is about £85).
Essentially, I want the FTA channels, the ability to record and series link them. But I also want to keep my mini boxes. Is this possible?
Spent over 30 mins searching available packages on the Sky website and came up empty.
Thanks

Re: Downgrade to SKY Essentials
You can switch to Essentials without requiring a move to Sky broadband. They are trying to 'up sell'.
Call again and another agent should be able to switch you.

@ukbootlegs123 you should be able to continue having the multiroom subscription to allow you to watch on your mini boxes with Sky Esentials on Q as others have done this
I may be a Sky Superuser but I am still just a Sky customer
Sky Q 2 TB (Silver)Box, 2 Mini boxes since June 2016, all connected by wifi
Sky Broadband Hub/SR203, Sky Ultrafast broadband
Ultimate on Demand, Q Experience/UHD, Sky Sports, Sky Cinema
LG 49SJ 810 V UHD TV, Google Pixel 7 Pro mobile

Re: Downgrade to SKY Essentials
Just one thing you may need to be aware of SKY Essentials on SKY Q does not include SKY Atlantic or Netflix (unlike the similarly named Essential TV on SKY Glass/Stream)

Re: Downgrade to SKY Essentials
Yeh, I never use Netflix and barely anything on Sky Atlantic I ever watch. We mainly use the FTA channels, but my wife likes the Sky Q planner and the mini boxes are great (when they work and don't need a reboot).
Speaking to Sky today, they told me to ring back on the 28th and they can't take advance notice that I wish to change package (bloody daft), and that my cost will be £15 for Sky Essentials and another £15 to keep the 3 mini boxes.

Re: Downgrade to SKY Essentials
Keep going on sky essentials. I down graded to sky essentials and the offers change each day and hour! At one point i was offered sky essentials with multi room at £3 a month if I took fibre gigafast. But when I called back to say yes then could offer it and it chanced to £5 each but when I called back....in the end I settled for essentials at £10 a month. Gave up on multi room as at £5 extra id rather buy an Apple TV.
