I recently cancelled my Sky at the end of my contract because the price rises were excessive. After streaming for 2 weeks l really missed Sky Q's functionality and negotiated a more acceptable monthly rate for a new 18 month contract. After about 7 days l still wasn't up and running. I chased Sky and they told me that the equipment that l had returned was being redirected and returned to me, fine. After 3 to 4 days l received a package from Sky containing a 1T Q box and a new mini box, where was my 2T Q box as they told me was being returned ? I immediately phoned Sky and l was told that if l wanted a 2T box l had to pay them an extra £99 even though I had previously paid them a total of £150 for the previous 2T box.
What a con, don't believe what Sky tell you.

@alancatley1948 The main problem here is that you were misinformed from the beginning. Once you send back your equipment it cannot be re-directed back to you. So Sky would always have to send out a new main box and mini box to you.
Add into this that since around 2019 the default Q main box has been the 1TB box and Sky charge extra for a non default box.
I understand how you fell haing paid £150 origionally for the 2TB box you had
All you could do is make a complaint and see what Sky say
