Discovery+

Duscover plus comes up with this screen when i load. Translated it says to download the max app. The max app isnt available in the uk yet.

 

Any advice??

Ah - I think I've found your issue. When you mentioned your broadband Hey I had a quick qoogle and....

it seems at times (going back at least 4 years) they've routed through Spain resulting in issues like yours. On occasions people have been unable to logon to their banking services as a result! I suspect if try to use the BBC iPlayer you might currently be geoblocked as well.

 

When you renew your broadband it might something to consider?

In Spain Discovery+ is no longer available so users have use Max instead.

For some reason your box (or the discovery+ app) thinks you are a Spanish user.

So two suggestions 1) do a reboot of the box to see if that fixes it 2) refresh the apps - " To refresh apps on Sky Q, press the Home button, navigate to Settings, and then enter the code "001" followed by Select. This will open the installer menu. Highlight "Apps" and then select "Refresh all Apps on this box". A message will appear indicating the apps are refreshing " Go back to your normal viewing and give a bit of time to do its thing.

(In addition you should - I think! - be able to use your Discovery+ login details on other apps if your tv supports it or online so you can try there to make sure your account is ok.)

I thought of that and refreshed all last night! Still no Joy! Strangly also does it on my phone too!!🤷

Are you using a VPN? Something is causing it to think you're in Spain (or a Spanish speaking country)

Hi @JC785   Have you activated it correctly on your Sky Q box? activate your discovery+ access on your Sky TV device.

So very weird. Im not using VPN and IP checker shows correct location. Bit on EE 5g works fine! Must be somthing to do with Hey! Broadband IP allocation. Il drop them a message

Yes i did an ip trace online and it was routed through spain. I calld Hey and they got my IP sorted all working now
