Denon soundbar issues with SkyQ

I have a Denon dht-s517 soundbar with new gen LG OLED connected via ARC.  The sound randomly drops out for a couple of seconds fairly frequently. 

I've tried:

Factory reset of soundbar 

New cables

Other TV

Switching HDMI ports

Every sound output option on SkyQ box including normal

Disabling HDMI CEC (although in every single configuration the TV reactivates it when using the soundbar).

There are no issues using other HDMI ports or apps on TV. 

Completely stumped, anyone got any ideas?
