De-registering Prime Video

I have the Prime Video app on my Sony TV. It's registered to my daighter's former partner. I want to de-register from that account and re-register with my account details. I don't have the account number that it is currently registered to or any access to the holder. I have tried refreshing the apps on SkyQ but it doesn't do anything

@PrimeDeregister  Have you created a new account with Amazon 1st?    If so you should simply be able to log out of the prime app on the affected devices and then login with your new account.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

Hi @PrimeDeregister   I am not sure why this has anything to do with Sky. However, if you move over to the left and go down to settings, then all the way down to Sign out. You will then be able to log in with your own Prime membership.

hi @PrimeDeregister

When you go into the app are you  able to select the Settings

I only have one account on my app so it takes me directly in & I can select the settings by tabbing left and then scrolling down

From Settings you should be able to Sign out

Once signed out you should be able to login with your account

Unfortunately I can't access settings in the Prime Video app. It seems as though only the primary account holder can do that

hi @PrimeDeregister

You could try a reset of your box

press Home
Scroll to Settings - but do not press enter/select at this point
Press 0 0 1 in sequence followed by the Enter/ select button
you should now get the engineer's menu

Select Reset And Select the first Reset - Do Not select the 2nd & 3rd as those will loose any recordings you do have

Once you have reset your box you will need to re-pair your remote
To re-pair the remote press & hold 1 & 3 together & follow the on screen instructions - make sure it has line of sight of the box

(You may need to reset the remote by pressing & holding 7 & 9 together until the red led above the SKY logo button flashes 4 times)

After a reset you will also need to set up any favourites again
