Customer loyalty means nothing.
- Having been a loyal paid up customer for 20 yrs plus the logic behind some decisions at sky begger belief.
My wife and myself discussed recently moving to Sky Glass from SkyQ as our current contract had expired and we do have an external problem with trees affecting our signal. On agreeing to make the change we went through the process with Sky by telephone. This was fine up to the point of the monthly fee for the television cost. We were advised we could only continue if we paid for the Sky Glass TV outright as credit had been refused. The objection being the final years credit on my iphone still being operative. Needless to say I checked my credit rating on several sites which in my view were excellent. At this point we ceased to continue with the purchase. The following day we happened to be in Curry's Electrical store and on chatting to an assistant and relating our story she said, "why not start a new Sky account in your wife's name". We did this in-house without any problems under the same terms and conditions as Sky were offering and we are now watching Sky Glass. - The irony of this is my wife's pension income is a fraction of my own so guess who's account is paying the new direct debit.
- I am sure you are going to blame the tv manufacturer for this but I think you are a big enough company to override cases like this. You came very close to losing a loyal customer.

We're a Community of customers, like you. You're not addressing Sky here.
I don't think this has anything to do with the television manufacturer. Sky do credit assess applications for payment on terms and I don't believe they have any process for overriding the credit decision. They wouldn't necessarily know the basis in which the credit application was refused.
