Connectivity issues since changing internet supplier

Have recently changed internet supplier from Sky fibre to Kcom fibre (faster speeds and cheaper) but ever since I'm having difficulty with sky q dropping connection, drops quite frequently and drops every time i try and connect mini box. Router is approx 10feet from router. Router does 2.4G and 5G, been told sky only uses 2.4G so I would expect this frequency to

travel further. But not travelling 10 feet???! Any advice would be appreciated
