Hi I keep getting messages with codes on when im not asking for any. Why is this?

Sounds like possibly the 2 Factor Authentication codes for logging into this forum?

Which are a pain in the nether regions. Once a day perhaps, but I need to enter them anytime I shut the browser down and come back. They're not the reason the site has become so slow? Even after clearing cache & cookies it spins its wheels when changing thread.
