We get to home page and choose channel-fine. Come to change channel and screen goes blank but sound of existing channel stays on. End up having to turn everything off and back on again. Help.

Try a Reset Settings in the Q box hidden menu.
To enter hidden menu press Home and navigate down to Settings but do not select Settings.
With Settings highlighted press 0 0 1 Select.
Only Carry out the first Reset (Reset Settings) as the other two will wipe all recordings.
After the Reset you will have to re pair your Bluetooth remote If you use one.
If you cannot switch the Q box on with the remote after the Reset press the Standby button (Amber led) on the front of the box.
To re pair the remote press 1 & 3 together on the remote and follow onscreen instructions to re pair.
Make sure that you are pointing the remote at the Q box when you press 1 & 3 together.
Resetting the settings will also reset:
Audio visual settings, such as picture resolution and HDMI control
Settings changed within the hidden engineer menu, include LNB type. If on a communal dish you need to reset the LNB to SCR in the hidden menu. After changing the LNB type you need to reboot the Q box.

Mine has just started doing this since 9:30pm.
Tried powering off. It went through it's normal cycle to the blue screen then rebooted itself and now it's started up.
It's incredibly slow and I have the same behaviour when changing channels as Jakrow.
2Tb box, Hardware version 32B106 with Software Version Q210.000.06.03L

Also now getting Technical Fault on Channels 101-105.
Satellite shows as locked okay, everything else in settings shows as okay.

got as far as re pairing remote, then tv saying To use this service, you need a satallite signal????

It was still in the same state this morning but is now working.
@oldfella Resetting the settings worked for me too. Thanks for the suggestion.

@Jakrow So far, ours still seems to be working. I'm at the office but my family are using it in anger today.

Tried replacing the batteries in the remote? Turn the box off at the wall for 30 seconds then power back on and see if that fixes it.

Mine does this occasionally. I have told this to the complaints team along with other issues. I find the only way to deal with it is to reset the box. Very frustrating

putting your box into Standby then switching it off at the wall for 30 seconds
