Cables mo longer needed

Hello

I have sky q and used to have multi room with one box , after cutting down on my bill we got rid of the multiroom but now iam left with cables I dont need fixing to the dish , can I cut these cables to remove them from my home? Is this safe to do this?

Thanks

David

Hi @scousedave

Yes, assuming the cables are not used they can be removed.

You still need the two cables from the dish to your main Q box.

Best to remove the the Screw F connectors from the dish before you cut any cables.

I'm a little confused as if you still have Q then you still need a satellite feed from the dish.

Q multiroom uses WiFi so there are no cable changes necessary if you remove a mini.

Hi @scousedave

Certainly there are no dish cable connections on Mini boxes.

Extra cables for Multiroom was a feature on Sky+HD where all extra boxes had to have their own dish connection

The cables for a mini box are a mains power lead and HDMI lead.

...you don't want to be cutting any cables feeding a satellite signal to the main Q box...
