Black Screen - Sky Q+

[WKRP]

Sky Q+ not showing anything other than a black screen. Have checked the following 

1) Tv is working 

2) HDMI connections secured

3) Powered off the unit, left for 30 secs 

4) Powered on the unit - "hello " screen appears - HDMI therefore working 

5) Press home at the appropriate moment, amber light goes to green. 

6) Remote works, can turn on and off the unit 

7) Checked wifi connection and SKY + box has connected to Wireless
😎 Cannot see any issues with cables going to sky dish

What have I missed, TV and Sky were working fine up to about an hour ago so 12.30 ish

With the SKY Q box (not to be confused with older SKY + boxes) on (green led) try pressing the following keys on the Q remote in Sequence

Home 1 0 8 0 Home

Hi @WKRP    Resets the box picture resolution format back to default 1080i.

Also just to mention, there's no sound from the Sky box, I would have thought I would still have audio if it was just the resolution settings

hi @WKRP 

evn though the TV may be working for other sources etc. - although a long shot try a full power down restart of your TV.

I know you mentioned checked the HDMI connections but if you haven't done so completely take out the HDMI at both ends and re-seat

If that doesn't work II suggest you,, also try a different HDMI input on the TV.

Thanks, however if I am seeing the "hello" screen would that not surely indicate that the HDMI connection is working ok?

Happy to try it but, I can't see that being an issue
