I have recently been given the arc cinema one sound bar. I have connected to via optical cable to my sky q box. As soon as I switch it on a very loud constant crackling occurs and I have to switch of the sound bar. I may add that I previously for years had a Bose soundbar fitted in the same fashion and it worked without issue for years untill Bose died. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am struggling to find much info online to confirm it is Dolby Digital compatible - I note one of the reviews on Amazon also had your problem.
Can you try settingHome - Settings - Setup - Audio Visual
Digital audio output HDMI
to Normal

OOps I meant to change my standard reply (HDMI) to Optical
Glad you have it working - although it won't compare to your Bose

@nigea99 I did wonder if you meant to say optical hence the reason I mentioned 😀
