Wrong, wrong, & wrong

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWatching Sheff Utd v Man City. Recap notification popped up after 7 mins of play, but automatically disappeared after 10 seconds. Came back up after 13 mins of play and again disappeared automatically. Not an issue for me even when it's on.

This is REALLY annoying.
For anyone saying "Why not pause it for a second or two".. We shouldn't have to.
Most people who this annoys are going to be at least mild OCD, I know that's the case with me, and if we don't like the consistent pop-up that comes back even after we dismiss it, then we also don't like watching Live TV behind real time (whether it's one second or ten minutes makes no difference in that sense).
Besides which, it's not even the point. This is clearly a bug! It's relentless in its pop-ups. Arghh!!

I took video from the start of the Sheff v City match. 3 pop ups in 6 minutes.

Just adding my name to the list of people unhappy with this over the top advertising by sky after we pay premium prices. Advertise it at the start of each half it not every two minutes which is what I timed it at. Please a ort it out sky

Absolutely ridiculous. I don't own a 4k tv and am not interested in a recap of a match I've been watching from the start. I certainly don't need to be told about it every couple of minutes.

I have the same problem.

@displaynameHD Yes, it's clearly a bug, but the temporary solution of pausing for a couple of seconds works.
On satellite broadcast you're already watching a couple of seconds behind anyway so another couple shouldn't make a lot of difference.

Sky please stop red button appearing on screen during football matches!! At least make it stay gone once you have pressed cancel !

Came here to vent my frustration with this pop up, noticed it a couple of weeks ago in terms of the insane frequency they push it on us, mentoned it to my GF during a match last week and within 10mins she was cursing me for bringing it to her attention. It's not just the frequency, the fact it dims part of the screen is really irritating. So intrusive, another own goal from Sky.

Sky really needs to stop spamming it's paying customers with the watch in Ultra HD prompts.
the workaround is an insult as we are constantly bombarded with Sky saying **bleep** great it is to watch sport "live".
i know it's already a few seconds behind (I live 180 steps from the Emirates so I know what's live) but this message really detracts from my viewing pleasure.

Very annoying, sky need to sort this, have tried the pause option.

Totally agree about annoying nature. Was around last year but one-off, cancelled meant stopped. Irritating enough that I'm not watching some games, so calling into question why I pay subscription.
I don't have UHD and no intention of laying out for a new TV just because Sky think I might be missing out.
Only occurs in football, but if it spreads to other sports I'm moving supplier.
