Accessibilty update last night

Anyone else had this problem? I switched on this morning to find a screen referring to new accessibility options using SKY Q.

My problem is that the screen would not respond to my Controller and I am using a SKY Q mini box in my study. So I went down stairs to where my main Sky Q box, router and TV are located.

I went through all the ususal tests for faults and reset everything! The TV downstairs is working perfectly but my mini box upstairs is still not responding to my controller, in fact I can only turn it on and off manually.

My computer is working perfectly on the wifi so I know everything is AOK with the router too!

I am assuming the Minibox has failed but the chat bots on the helpline clearly are not ptogrammed for anything other than basic user errors!

Anyone got any useful suggestions? Thank you'

Mike

hi @Mike496

This is not new but can happen after a reset or other reasons

This message seems to have caused a bit of a quirk so try this:

Press & hold 4 & 6 on the remote to set to Infrared only (so must have line of sight of the box)

Hopefully you can then dismiss the message

Then try re-pairing in bluetooth mode with the box by pressing & holding 1 & 3 together

If this does not work try a full remote reset by pressing & holdng 7 & 9 until the red led above the SKY logo button flashes 4 times

Then try the 1&3 to re-pair & pair with the TV
