Why??

Can someone please explain why the smart doorbell etc isn't available to customers in Northern Ireland, surely it all works though home broadband, I've been with sky almost 20 years and this is the first time I've encountered this, I have the 65" skyglass tv which was delivered so it can't be a postage problem, answers please!!

Re: Why??

Because the hardware is deeply integrated with an insurance product, Sky has to comply with specific regional underwriting and insurance regulations. Currently, Sky Protect's insurance underwriting and cover are only structured to operate within Great Britain (England, Scotland, and Wales).

Because Sky's insurance policies do not yet extend to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, or the Isle of Man, the accompanying smart home tech bundles—including the video doorbell—aren't available to purchase there either.

That's not the case any more.  The 'Smart Tech' insurance hasn't been available to new customers for some time, and the current 'Smart Home' / 'Smart Home+' hardware bundle isn't associated with an insurance product.
