Battery life

Why is battery life so short? My last video doorbell used to last months on a charge. After 2 days battery is down to 68%.

There can be a number of factors that affect the battery usage on the video doorbell.

I have used the video doorbell for three years or more and I get around 30 days of charge off a 100% full charge from an alert around 10%, when I normally give its a 6-hour or overnight charge.

My doorbell gets regularly daily activity.

My doorbell is around nine feet away from the chime. I found when it was about 15 or so feet away  it drained a lot faster.

Plus, form my initial testing on first getting I did make changes to the activity zone and reduced the video recording lengths that made a big difference to all the overall battery usage.
