phone for partner?

I want to take out a new phone contract for my partner and don't know how it all works in terms of i will be the person paying for the phone and he will be transferring it to my account but the phone will be under my name. How does this work with the phone being his but just the payments just coming out under my name and out of my bank account?

If you order the phone on your account then you will paying for it. What private arrangement you come up with your partner regarding the payment and him transferring money to you is up to you.
