I've updated and transferred all info to my new phone but it is not registering my sim card

I presume you had a physical SIM in your 'old' phone? Have you removed it and inserted it in the new phone?

Yes, it does not recognise it in the new phone, but does in the old one.

it also does not recognise another SIM card that works in other phones

Was the new phone purchased from Sky?
