iPad eSIM

Bought an iPad for Christmas for a present, don't want to set up the e sim etc until given as a gift at Christmas is this ok to wait or does it need doing now

You have 30 days to activate the dataplan.  Either do that now or order another dataplan near the time.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
