Hi folks, I attempted to move from a physical Sim to an eSim on Saturday. Got the QR Code and scanned it, but I entered the wrong activation code 3 times, I didn't have my glasses on. Silly mistake. Anyway the eSim failed to activate and is now locked for 3 incorrect attempts. At the same time Sky have deactivated my physical sim. So now I've no access to my mobile number whatsoever meaning I can't even order a replacement eSim through the app because they need to SMS me a code to my number (which isn't available). It's a bit of a silly system.
Just spent 45mins on the phone to the call centre and they said they need to escalate to a specialst team tomorrow.
Has anyone had this issue before? This is a big problem for me as I need to be contactable on that number at all times for work.
Thanks

I needed a second sim for work, so signed up to another plan. So now there was a new Sky number (Esim) on the phone and on the account. Tried to order a replacement for the original eSim I blocked and still got an error message.
How and why would they only allow you to recieve an activation code via the number or sim card they've just cancelled instead of via email.
Makes no sense! Very frustrating sky, I'm regretting switching from my previous provider right now.

That is because you need to order a new sim and not a replacement but I would leave it until you have spoken to this specialist team.

Horrible service. I am really regretting moving to Sky. They now said, after my third call with them, more than 90mins in total, that they will issue me with a new physical sim that will take 3-5 days to be delivered and then I can go ahead and get a new Esim. That's ridiculous. I use my phone for work and pleasure. I can't access some of my banking apps without a OTP. Terrible from Sky.
