eSIM not working with no data after install

So I have an iPad Air 13 inch m2, that you can't put a SIM card in so only accepts esims. When I got the iPad it was working fine. Went abroad and it stopped working no network, no signal, no data. So I removed the eSIM and reinstalled today but still getting error messages not connect to the internet. I have tried to troubleshoot all available steps but still nothing works. I have been sent a replacement sim to convert to eSIM and after installation still getting same message. Please someone help has I'm paying for something that I can't use when out

Do you have this setting on your iPad, if so it needs to be set to home or automatic:

 

Settings > Mobile Data > SIM Applications > Make sure this is set to home/automatic.

I don't have the sim application options 

I have a IPad Air 13 inch m2 

it doesn't accept a SIM card it's eSIM only
