Worried about bill

I bought a new handset on the 6th of November with an 8gb data bundle, but decided not to activate the sim as I am using my precious sim card from another provider. It has now been 22 days since I received the phone, and I still haven't seen a direct debit payment for the handset be claimed.

 

Is this normal or should I contact sky to find out what's going on? 

 

Did I have to activate the sim, because I saw in other posts that if you decide not to activate it, then it drops off after 31 days and you just pay for the handset? Would this be true and would it still be on a monthly basis?

 

Please help me? I am so worried that something is amiss here!

Hi @Noomcat  if you don't activate the sim then it will drop off your account and you won't be charged. You can just pay for the phone without a sim and use your existing sim. If you have a direct debit set up then don't make a manual payment. What does your account say about your bill ? If you are concerned then call sky on 150 to discuss your bill.

I don't think 150 will work as I am not using a sky sim!
