Re: Wifi Calling Issues

I had problems with wifi calling being distorted when calls made from home. Landline calls were ok. Wifi calling elsewhere seemed ok.
Suggest you check your router and ensure that you have different ssids for 2.4g and 5g bands.
Our sky box came configured with the same ssid and password used for both. It occurred to me that a phone might be confusing the two signals.
I changed the 5g ssid (added a 5 to it) then added the network to our mobile phones which were now connecting on the 5g band. Kaspersky running on a machine on the lan recognised the change as a new device so must assume they have always been stuck on 2.4g,
This seems to have fixed the problem and can now hear low level detail on calls instead of only the loudest part of each syllable.
