What's the easiest way to do this? (Number porting)
Details: Existing Sky account with three existing numbers. We are Diamond VIPs and wanted to change one of the existing numbers to the £10 unlimited data SIM offer. Naturally, Sky can't just facilitate this on the existing line and have forced us to take out a fourth SIM to get the deal.
My intention is to take out a free PAYG SIM which I'll use for porting the existing number we wish to retain, then get that number ported back to the new unlimited data SIM. I find it insane that we have to jump through all these hoops to achieve this goal, but is this the simplest way to do it? The existing line is not in contract, so no ETFs to pay.

Yes, you can't port a number directly to a SIM on the same network. This applies to any network.
