WHEN TO PUT NEW SIM IN AFTER NUMBER TRANSFER......
I have moved to Sky Mobile from EE and have kept my mobile number too. I have activated the sim card and provided Sky with the PAC code last night.
I've received an e-mail and a text message today saying the transfer has been successful but my EE signal hasn't dropped out yet and i'm not sure whether i've to wait until that happens before putting in the new sim card - this is what i did the last time but it has been a long time since i transferred my number from a different provider and i'm not sure whether i should wait until the EE signal drops out before putting new sim in.

Re: Transferring mobile number from EE to Sky
Hi @ALM84 you are correct, usually the old network stops working which is a sign to say the port has at least started. You could try your sky sim and see if it's working and your old number is showing in settings, when you call and when you send texts. If it's working then all is well.

Re: Transferring mobile number from EE to Sky
Thank you. I will try the new sim and see what happens. Maybe the port is not quite completed when i still have signal from old network but i'll give the new sim a try as soon as I can. Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing!
