Upgrade and data plan

If i do my free upgrade will my data plan on my other phone which is on the sim transfer to the new phone?

Your sim plan stays the same is up do an upgrade of your device, that is unless you decide to change this as well but if you don't then just move the sim into your new phone when you have it.
