Unable to register Whatsapp using NEW Phone number

I am a new user of Sky Mobile. I have just activated my NEW phone number with Sky Mobile. However, when I register it with Whatsapp, it said it has already registered with another phone. I have tried to use SMS verification. It has passed the first verification. But it stucks at the 2nd verification that saying that "wait for the timer to finish and required another code verification". I don't mind to get another NEW phone number, but seems no way for me to do.
