Trouble abroad

Spent 1.5 hours yesterday and another 30 minutes this morning online with Sky Agent trying to sort this.  Fixed in seconds and not one of the sky agents suggested anything like this.  Thanks - Awesome!! Can now get puncture fixed and can actually go somewhere now..... 😉

My phone will not allow me to make and receive calls whilst in Spain. I have checked all permissions in line with the guidance on the sky pages - please help?

Hi @Dyer1980  try this suggestion from @Lms5 

I  disconnected the VolTe and activate the 2G and I can make calls and receive too again

I've been onto  sky for two days now, have data, but no calls in or out... they promised me a email regarding this yesterday.... nothing... I've got sick of trying, and am honestly fumming, it like the couldn't give a f.... just text me everyday saying they have took the roaming passport money!!!!

I am in Majorca at the mo. Some major problem at the mo. Ive tried getting in touch. Think some major roaming connectivity issue. Ive lost the 4G too now and had to buy an esim. Its ridiculous.

I had to manually go into 4G on my iPhone and select that so that 5G never had an option. I also had to turn off VOLTE and now it seems to be working. It's been an absolute nightmare
try that and hopefully it works for you

i've spent nearly 5 hours on the phone to Sky on Thursday. They were absolutely useless and I kept getting hung up on

after to speak to managers on numerous occasions and explained that I've got two young children with me and I have no way of making emergency call

I will be cancelling my broadband and Sky television and Mobile with Sky as they are absolutely useless and the Customer Service services is diabolical

if anything happens to my children while I'm here -  I can assure you we're going straight to the press

this isn't the first time this has happened. It also happened in Turkey last April so Sky I've got some major problems

A few customers currently in Spain have reported issues over the last couple of days.

No ISP guarantees network coverage whilst abroad as is mentioned in the T's and C's. Sky have no control over it.

So....like other users, am in Mallorca, Spain. 💪At first, lost the ability to make or receive calls. Ok, so no major harm so far. Then lost ability to make or receive SMS texts. Ok....still had 5G data (and no spend caps etc).

Now 4/5G has gone. Have had to buy an esim (data only) to allow Whatsapp calling.

Tried ALL the suggestions on forums here (toggle off VoLte, and enable 2G/3G). Tried manually selecting network. Taken SIM out. Cleaned.

Nothing. Just says Emergency calls only. Not even the Sky network name showing.

Not helpful when trying to ring elder parent who doesnt have Whatsapp. 

Any other suggestions?

I am in Spain but my phone is unable to call UK landline numbers.  I've tried checking various steps but nothing.  The virtual chat help is a joke and I'm getting nowhere and unable to chat to a human there.

There is nothing you can do as there is clearly a problem of which one of my fellow superusers has fed back to Sky but with it being the weekend we are not expecting any feedback until Monday at the earliest about this.
