All 3 family members with sky mobile ireland unlimited plans holidaying in the canary islands. Phones worked fine initially and now none of use can make calls. Spent 5 hours of my holiday today on a chat with a sky rep trying everything, network resets different connection settings etc to eventually be told it was because my spending cap was too low. I repeatedly pointed out
1. I had no spending cap applied to 2 of the phones and 5 euro one on the other,
2. That since we had unlimited data at home and we could 'roam like home' why would it matter and
3. We used our phones in the same location last year with no issues so why had we an issue this year. Same phones, same plan.
I even went over last years bills for our holiday period to check we hadn't incurred any charges. We hadn't because it was all allowed within our plan.
He repeatedly pushed for me to set spending caps for "out of plan charges" even though I pointed out since we have unlimited plans we should not have "out of plan charges". He assured me setting a spending cap would fix the issue. It hasn't. He told me to give it 24 hours. Im 10 hours in. Still no change. I really dont fancy doing another round of 5 hours for zero resolution tomorrow. Can anybody help or do we just have to suck it up.
