Something else.

£2,160 per GB data (yes, two thousand)

£2.16 per MINUTE to call UK

£1.80 per minute to receive calls

50p per SMS

Calls to local numbers charged at international rates (£3.50 per minute)

@Aa39

It's a Rest Of The World location and therefore it would be very very expensive.

That's your call.  But even connecting for a few seconds or minutes can rack up a noticeable bill.

If keeping Sky SIM in the phone then keep the device in flight mode and only use WiFi.

....alternatively get a PAYG SIM locally or in advance - but they may not be cheap either...

If you want to use the internet then even using a local sim on PAYG is going to cost you a small fortune so as advised above using wifi is the way to go.

In theory yes, but why risk it?

You'd hit a typical £45 cap after 20MB of data use, which is about one map refresh, a few image-heavy web pages, 10 minutes of HQ Spotify audio or one Tiktok video...

Standard advice is don't even think about having cellular service enabled in a 'rest of world destination': if you need it, get a local SIM.
