Transporting old number

I recently changed my Sim to Sky and they transported over my old number. However, when I send a text the number showing to the recipient is the new Sky number (which they don't recognise) and not my old number. My phone is a Xiaomi Rednote 10S and Sky say that they don't support that phone and can't resolve the issue. Any suggestions as to how I can get my texts to show my old number?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

You need to go into the settings and have a look around for where your number is shown because if it is wrong you will need to change it to the correct one before rebooting your phone,

Re: Transporting old number

Thanks for the reply but hopefully sorted now after 3 calls to Sky. I had to backup everything on my phone and then do a return to Factory Settings.

Re: Transporting old number

The re-boot sorted it.
