Transferring a number

I have transferred my number from my old phone to my new one, I have recieved a text to say it is done but now I'm unable to make calls . I've turned my phone on and off and still can't

Was your number on a different network and you transferred it to Sky, if so is the number showing the correct one in the settings on your phone ?
