Transfer sim to new device

I have upgraded my phone from Samsung S23 to Samsung S26. The S26 keeps saying transferring SIM. How long should this take?

Did you eject the SIM from the S23 and put it in the S26?  Or is it eSIM?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
